I'm actually in the middle of doing some side-by-side testing on a couple of different struts to see what I can learn.
|
I certainly hope the Mo-Rod is in this mix. If not, let's get one shipped to you! |

Yes, this version is covering from old to new, four models including a stainless Ranch Rifle, and the newest one I can get my hands on next month.

Hey Z-Man! Love your thread on cutting down the barrel. I am about to undertake the same course of action, though centered around a good factory load. I wasn't clear on where you eneded up. Was it at 17" or so? Any wisdom to offer?
Thanks in advance! |

(I see you're from the lush, temperate, rain soaked town of Barstow. LOL. I spent almost a year there at Ft Irwin doing joint operations training.)

I'm a little late in responding, have been spending my time lately re-roofing my house. I'm just outside of Barstow in Newberry Springs. I know Ft. Irwin very well, I was the Post Locksmith for 13 years while my wife handled the daily retail end of my gunshop in Newberry.

Well I finally got my hands on a 196 series Mini-14.
No rush Z-man, but how soon do you think you will have your book finished?
Count me in for purchasing a copy when you are finished!
Now to build up a good supply of magazines and ammo, before I start to add things to her... |

By the way Mo: Has anyone ever pinned the Mo-rod to the gas block?
And: Have you considered sodablasting the silver version, so that it better matches the stainless finish on a 196 series Stainless Ranch? |

By being pinned do you mean like this, It is attached by set screws to the gas block.

Ive got MO stuff on it too, like the MO REAPER.
