Default Tapco gas tube

I got a tapco gas tube to go with my intrafuse stock. I have read you have to file it down to get it to fit. Is it a big deal? Do I need to use precision machinary to do it or will a hand file work? And why in the hell dont they just make it right to begin with?

This sounds like a fair question. Unless there are variances in different barrels.

Ah well in that case it is probably just a tolerances issue. It may be a few thousands too long. Just guessing.
