what all mounting options are there for the mini? i dont really care for the scout look on rifles.

i couldn't tell you all the mounting options, but i can tell you what i have done.

i go with warne QD rings on my ranch rifle. they are a bit pricey, but if you like changing optics or going from an optic to irons in a few seconds, the QD rings are the way to go.

i will remove and return my scope several times during a range trip & the warne QD rings hold zero as advertised. i really like this set up for my current needs.

Are you interested in fashion or function?

Until you have used a scout configuration, it's hard to understand how well it works. It is best suited to 100 yards and under, because the optics that work best in this configuration tend to be low power with long eye relief, but that is really where the Mini-14 shines.

I'd suggest you do some experimentation, search this forum, Ruger Forums and Perfect Union. Every option available is discussed in detail already.

a lil bit of both, i want it to look good you know but i also want it to stay put and prefferably keep its zero.
