DefaultReplacement Stock

Just went to the range today and my son and I agree that the stock stock is not ideal for the Mini14. The problem we have is the grip angle (where you grasp it with your trigger hand) is to straight, making it hard to grasp it with your thumb wrapping around the grip and properly squeeze the trigger rather than pulling it. The other problem is the comb is too high to shoot with iron sights.

Any ideas on where to go for a good and inexpensive replacement?

Hi there I'm new here. Just changed the plastic stock on my mini 14 6.8spc to a Hogue stock really like the fell and it added about 3/4" to LOP. Midway had the bkack one on sale last month for 53.99 normaly 69.99 they mite still honor that price? Good Luck

DefaultAti

I got a ATI folding tac stock for my mini 30 thought is looked cool. but when i put it on the mini i sound that the stock realy was not that good. It looks good but it is all plastic and feels cheap. the but folds to the left witch makes it hard to handle when folded. im selling it now. I would love to replace this with a factory folding wood stock.

I have a black Ramline composite on my Mini that I've had for years and have been very happy with it. I think they are in the $60 range.

it really depends on what you want.

others have listed some good options, many like the houge stocks.

if you want to go wood, go to numrich & they have older factory stocks for $38 . but be sure to specify "best condition", because they are hit and miss otherwise. mine looks great & i like it WAY better than the factory syn. stock myself.
