Nice buy. My mini-14 is accurate and super reliable. Just make sure to use only Ruger mags. The aftermarket mags can be of questionable quality.

My initial assessment of the Mini is that its friggin awesome! When I got it sited in it was shooting 1in at 25 yards! I then got bold and moved out to 100 and had to adjust the scope somewhat ... basically the 14 can out shoot me I think! With more practice I'll be good to go I think. I am very happy with it, although I was all over the place at 100 yards I can tighten that up I'm sure. I was surprised at how hot the barrel got even at slow fire. I used Tula and Federal and I'd have to say I did better with Federals from Wal-mart it seemed. Also apparently I threw away my targets like a dummy but I shoot weekly so there will be more! At any rate I'm happy with it! Did notice one thing though, there was a little ding on the spent cases at the same spot, I'll try to include those in the pics as well, has anyone encountered that before?
LOL good one Gator, and will do 357! I'll upload pics when I get home from school got some home work |
