I was recently able to add to my Mini-14 collection. I now have two. The first is a 1976 “200 years of freedom” 180 series, she shoots just great. The second I just picked up (have not had a chance to get to the range yet). She is a 187 series with a Ruger scope and Tigerwood stock. A real looker. She needs a little TLC but I could not pass up that stock. The 180 I intend to leave exactly as she is. I will likely add a bi-pod and mo-strut to the 187. In part for the look but also for the improved performance.

good lookin set of minis you got there! i respect all the cool set ups a mini can have, but i still think the classic wood stock looks best by far!

you can't go wrong with a mo-rod or accu-strut on these thin barrels! you will probably be shocked how much better it will shoot. overall the thinner barrels are said to see about 50% or more reduction in group size. my accu-strut also does a great job of reducing barrel heat. and bonus! they look great.
