good lookin mini!
i really can't help you on scope mounts, i noticed you're mini is an older model w/o scope mounts on the receiver. i know there are many ways around this, but i think it would be best if i let someone else with an older model mini answer this.
i have a redfield revolution 2-7 on my mini & i absolutley love this little scope. good, clear, quality scope at a great price. a nice compact size that just "fits" the mini perfect imo. US made, lifetime warranty! but there are manyy, many scopes out there, and everyone will have an opinion.
as for struts, i HIGHLY recommend you buy or make one. a strut, with your thinner profile barrel, should work wonders for accuracy. i recommend accu-strut myself. be sure to go with the 2 clamp model. tried and true adjustments like bedding and a trigger job are a good idea as well.
in most cases, the mini will require high quality ammo for the BEST accuracy. for plinking, i have found remington umc to be quite accurate, clean, and a fair price. i love my mini too much to use cheap russian crap in it
good luck, and enjoy that mini. when you get it shootin like you want, please join in on our shooting challenges., its just good shooting fun!
