Default Mini 30 Magazine question x2

Since we don't have a mini 30 forum, the 14 forum gets it...

I just purchased a new Stainless Mini 30 model 5853.

I need magazines.. Came with only 1

I like 20 rounders, as 30 are too banana ..

Ruger Factory are crazy expensive but if nothing else works well, then that's what I will buy..

I hear Silver Bear is the best ammo for the 30 also..

So the question..(thanks for your patience)..

Who has the best deal (price + shipping) on 20 round magazines for the mini 30?

Any experience with non-factory magazines?

Thanks all..

Mud

Personally, I will buy only Ruger factory magazines, as they are the only ones that work all the time, according to what I hear.

Many retailers will say Ruger 20 Round magazines and not mean factory magazines. If you want Ruger factory magazines, make sure you are ordering factory magazines...!

Default CDNN for Factory Mags

I think you're stuck with factory mags. Spare yourself the grief of experimenting with others. Here's the best price I can find...weekend shipping is always cheaper...

I have had very good results with Silver Bear. Stay away from Tulammo. The Wolf has also worked well in mine. If you purchased a brand new rifle, register the warranty with Ruger online. I believe they will give you a 20% off coupon on accessories if they are still doing it. Just checked and they are still doing it. Go to their web page and Customer service. Click on owner notification card.

Thank you, I will do that for 20%..

I got a BACK IN STOCK notification from Midway USA for the Ruger Factory mags @ $24.95 - $4.95 shipping and ordered a couple. Decided ti order 2 more that night, and they were sold out again.

But I got my 2, three days later so I am happy.
Gun show this weekend so got to look for some ammo..

just took a picture of my 189 series. Got the Amega rail and mounted an inexpensive pistol scope to try out. I will probably go with a red dot but wanted to give the scout scope concept a try.
