... that was my story at one time. So I sold the AR and ended up with a Mini, 1000 rounds of ammo and more than enough cash to modify the Mini and buy dinner. Deals like that aren't everyday, otherwise I'd buy more ARs and flip them. Sad thing is, there is a forum thread here, that speculates the AR will soon be produced in Asia - possibly reducing its value into the realm of the AK (my interpretation)

... sounds like your collecting though, and that's a different matter altogether many are probably missing. I wouldn't mind having an AR again (to look at, not necessarily shoot - I think I cleaned 'em more than I shot 'em), but I don't necessarily have the extra income to justify it ... that and I'm very content to keep the Mini (after all you can only shoot one at a time).

Keep your eyes open-there's always a used one at a deal to be had. Someone's always complaining about their accuracy and don't take the time to ask why.

Angry Ruger Minis

I like Ruger firearms, have had many over the years...two Mini 14sand a Mini 30....I enjoyed them all but like many swap and try and experiment...Now an excellent AK, a Galil, and yes, even a good old SKS.

I also have an AR15, M4 variety, like it also but mostly shoot that with the .22LR conversion....The point is that what one person hates or likes is not universally accepted by all...Wish I still had the Mini-30 !

Default Mini 14

I had the military mini 14, (M1 carbine) and sold it. I've been kicking my butt every since. Now I have the Ruger Ranch Rifle in the .223 and the 7.62X39. I used them both with and without a scope.. I left the scope on the .223 and use the 7.62 with iron sights..

Really nice rifles..

I enjoy my ranch rifle a lot and would like to get my hands on the 30 cal. version. Not to get off subjet here but has anyone seen the new scout rifle Ruger has out now?
