Thanks Kaptin. I'm pretty proud of it, and very pleased with the groups it's holding. So far it's been one great gun and is quickly becoming my fav shooter.

The Mini-14 may not be everybodys cup of tea, but I sure am having a ton of fun with mine.

Peace and good shooting!

I have the same model in stainless. How did you get the shine on your barrel? I am going for the same stack as well once the wife approves.

Hey doc, I dunno, the barrel doesn't look nearly as shiny in person as it does in the pics matter of fact it's a little on the dull side. I haven't polished it since I've had it anyways. The strut is a little too shiny for me tho, I'm hoping that it dulls a bit with age as it isn't a perfect match but it still looks pretty good.

Yep, everybody needs at least one!

I've had a lot of compliments on the green stock. I was debating on putting it in an after market stock but I'm leaning towards leaving it as is. Maybe adding a Specter Gear two point sling:

Mini-14 2 Point Tactical Slings

and later a barrel strut and maybe a scope... unless I get a wild hair and trade it.

Deadman1, I had no idea that the Ruger Mini 14 had that kind of accuracy.
When I started looking for an affordable semi-auto .223 I was looking at the
Ruger as an option. I’ve come across other blogs and internet sites that might
not believe that grouping.

Was there anything special about your mini 14 to get that grouping?

The wow pic:

My train of thought had been, a 16 in barrel is a 16 in barrel. It doesn’t
matter too much what receiver that it’s mounted to as far as accuracy.
