Improving Accuracy on older Mini's

If you have a Mini that you have had for a while, shot a lot of rounds through it, taking the trigger assembly in and out causes wear on the lugs of the Trigger Guard.

By replacing the trigger guard, your rifle's action will lock up tighter as it does not have the wear the older one had and will pull the action down tighter into the stock.

This means less movement of the action when your rifle is fired. I just replaced the trigger guard on my 187 series and it made a pretty good difference in the lock up, all for very little cost.
This should improve the accuracy a little bit.

The trigger guards are available for $10 - $12. from Brownells and Midway USA.

That's a great tip and it may come in handy down the road. Thanks.

Your welcome.
As long as the action is tight in the stock, your fine, but if it gets to the point that it doesn't take much force to lock the trigger guard down, then it's time for a new trigger guard. Also, if you see more wear on on side of the locking lugs than the other, replace the trigger guard.
