Kaptin you've got the answer to your thread; not many people are deer hunting with their .223's, and even those who are advise that there are better options. Now just walk away....

I don't understand al the fuss! I hunted with an old Mexican friend that used a 22 Hornet and killed deer easily, I have killed them with a bow and arrow. How is my 223 much different? Just because a Mach grade bullet is not "recommended" by Hornady does that mean that it's the worst thing in the world? It might not be the best choice, but it didn't mean it won't work. I bet a round ball of lead is not the best choice, butlots of animals have fallen because of it

I can see by the number of post you have that you have no life, so you should have the time to call me stupid to my face

Comparing a bullet to an arrow is apples to oranges. Can you kill a deer with a 223, yes you can. Does it make it a good idea? No. IMO, 223 sucks for anything larger then a coyote. In theory I could kill an buffalo with a 22lr but it doesn't mean I'm going to try.

Between working 2 jobs, the gym, my wife, the dog, and being active in my church I will take a few seconds to call you stupid for wanting to hunt deer with a 223 if that makes you happy.
You want to split a little wood while you're here?
