Bummer Scope Problem

I bought a "Compact" Drop compensation scope for the mini, wanted to see how it worked, but the rings are too far apart for the scope :-(
What are my options? Keep in mind that I really liked the compact design of the scope.
Here's a pic: what can I do?
Thanks guys!
Glen

I'm not sure what you mean by the rings are too far apart? Do you mean the rings are to far apart to mount to the stock rails on the ranch rifle? How about a picture.
I would think any of the top picatinny rails would solve your problem.

kinda dunamisnc, if I put my stock Ruger Mini 14 rings that came with the rifle the scope doesn't fit. Look in the picture, you'll see the rings only have about 2" between them. I should have thought about it but the description didn't say HOW FAR apart the rings would have to be.
I have looked into getting a ProMag Rail for my mini, but it's like $69.00!!!
I think I may have to send this scope back.
Thanks guys!

You're really thinking about sending the scope back over a 70 dollar part? Especially on a mini... Just get the rail. If you don't use it for this scope, you will when you change to a different one.

Darrel, you obviously have more money than I do :-D I have 6 kiddos and they ALL like to eat. Imagine.... But I did do exactly what you suggested. Pretty cool rail too! I didn't get the ProMag I got UTC. Here's a pic:
Thanks,
Glen

I have a B Square side mount I'd be willing to part with. It's stainless finish duracoated combat green. A lil accetone and the duracoat comes off looking like original. It's not used anymore since I put a red dot on the Amega mount.

Thanks Drew, but I already ordered the UTG mount I posted the pic of. It ships from my own state so I may have it early this week! It looks like I can put a light on it too!
Thanks again guys!

Sorry about the way that came across Glen. I didn't mean for it to sound so confrontational. I understand about the not having money to do things we want. Best of luck to you with that mount and post pics when it gets installed. I love me some gun porn.
