So far I have shot about 250 rnds of the Brown Bear Ammo and I am pleased. Now the pro-mags I have I can't say the same. I did however buy some metal 30rnd ones and they work good.
I love how easy the mini is to clean and maintain. I have tore mine completely down and cleaned after each session of shooting. both to keep it clean and to keep me familiar with its parts.
I will be trying some of the zinc plated ammo soon. I have my Zombie rounds saved just in case there is an outbreak.LOL Until then I will keep practicing away with the steelies.

My local Walmart carries the Tula .223 steel-cased ammo for $4.97 per box. I try and get there every couple weeks to pick some up because it's really hit or miss here. I have found that it shoots equally as well as the Brown Bear and other steel-cased ammo, but it's cheaper as I don't have to pay for shipping.

I'm not knocking the Brown Bear stuff at all. I've shot about 500 rounds of it in the last 8 weeks, but unless you're buying it in super-bulk or ordering alongside other stuff to eat up the shipping, it's probably cheaper to get the steel-cased stuff locally.

Sometimes you have to watch buying in bulk. You can get screwed. I picked up a 500round can of Tula for about $150 from academy. About 2 days after that I went back to academy to buy a couple 20round boxes of it. $4.90 a box. That is about $125 for 500 rounds. Yea I was all kinds of p**** off.

Ew... That sucks. I always have my Calculator App up on my phone at gun shows so I can see the price per round for the "bulk deals" the ammo counters offer. Last gun show I went to, there was a counter asking about 35 cents per round for .223 brass in the 50-round packs. If you bought 1000 rounds, the price went down to 34.75 cents per round.

Hell of a deal... LOL!

Im a reloader so I dont shoot steel cased ammo often. I did buy some MFS ammo the other day but havent shot it yet. It was 62gr. soft point. Just curious if anyone has tried it or even heard of it. I have a mini-14 and a del-ton AR.
