Nice, I have the Strikeforce on my WASR. I have one of those Tasco Red/Green Dot scopes from Wally World if you want it. |

First off Doc, that weapon looks amazing! I might have felt a small tinge of jealousy (understatement ) when I saw those pics.
Second, I was curious, I have a scout rail in the top of my mini 14 and I was wondering; Does the position of the red dot sight/scope along the rail affect the shooter's ability to sight in the optic? By that I mean if the optic is mounted more forward, does that limit the amount of windage and elevation adjustment due to the distance from the shooter's eye?
I apologize if that's confusing, I'm pretty sure I'm confusing myself
I ask this because I saw how far forward you have your optic mounted. __________________ "In war, resolution; in defeat, defiance; in victory, magnanimity." - Winston Churchill |

i was trying to find a general topic area for mini-14's. i hope this is it. i bought a used ss folding stock one that seems to be ex-police issue. it has a flash suppressor and what seems to be a mount for a bayonet? in other words, the front site is not at the muzzle end like many other mini 14's i've seen . i went to the ruger website and it was made in 1980. i bought some triple k 30 round mags that work perfect. it functions great and i sighted it in at a range. i think ruger made an A+ winner. jeff. |

jeffware, By your description, you have a GB version of the Mini-14. Some consider it a bit of a collector's item. Hang onto it... __________________ "In God We Trust"
