Default Winchester Model 310 .22lr

Went to the range today and my father came along as well bringing a Winchester Model 310 .22lr which he bought while up in Alaska. The gun hasn't been shot in about 25 years so we decided to give it a go He's probably has put at least 5,000 through it, however I was not disappointed with the results. I got about a 2 inch grouping for 10 shots which seems about right at 100 yards.

Here are a couple pics from my phone I should really buy a camera...

Default Do you realize how much that...

Gun is worth?! The Win model 310 is much rarer than the mdl 320 with a
magazine! The mdl 310 was the second .22 rifle that Pop bought for me in the
mid 1970's! "Unaltered", the gun is easily worth a Grand! Mine has the Ruger
10/22 rear sight & is still worth about $800.00! Between the Ruger 10/22 &
the Win mdl 310 I harvested more rabbits than "most people could imagine"!
Be carefull how you treat that relic! (I last used mine for pest control,
until I learned how much it was worth!...Now if I can find & re-install the
original "Win rear sight, mine will be worth a grand as well!!!

Well I would have to say the gun does not seem to be worth too much. I have only quickly researched and it seems it can be bought for a couple hundred dollars. It is in good condition and I plan to keep it that way.

But, after a visit to a Spokane gun show a year ago this "plain looking single-
shot .22short/long & long rifle chambered kid's rifle" was fetching a grand in
good condition! I was mistaken in an earlier post about this weekends gun
show @ the Spokane fairgrounds though! It is a "2 day show & not a 3 day
show as I posted"! Saturday & Sunday Dec 11 & 12 & there is also a flea
market in a connected building that is free to enter as long as you pay to
enter the gunshow & show your handstamp. (Sometimes I have made my
best purchases @ the fleamarket)!
