Default Went to Range today

Took my 7yr old with me, got him a .22 to shoot. He did pretty well for his first time. I may buy him his own pistol. Took a few pics.

Check out his grouping on the Target in the back.
I'm Think he did Fantastic. Me not so well. My grouping in head area.

Most excellent. This is the good stuff.

Great job. Glad to hear your getting the young one into the know on firearm function and safety too (im sure). You said first time, is that with a pistol or with a firearm in general?

Firearm in general. He shot my Glock27 but at a piece of board in the woods only two shots. This was the first time he really got to shot for real with aim. He did good with the safety aspect. He took his finger of the trigger after every shot. Kept it pointed downrange. Better than some people I have seen.

Thats great! I know you made mention of getting him a handgun, in .22 im guessing, but have you pondered the thought of somthing like a marlin m60? The only reason I ask is becuase it was the first firearm I ever shot (was my dads) and it was what really got me interested in guns in general. A lot of other people here also had them as first firearms also.

You have every right to be proud, the look on his face is priceless, and for the first time, I would say that you will have to practice a lot to keep up with him.
