As some of you know from the previous post here in the Range Report I had a very bad experience with an SCCY CPX-1 9mm handgun. Well after I left the range I called my girlfriend to tell her what had happened. She immediately called SCCY which was kind of a joke. She told them about the safety breaking and the two miss fires, one that hit the wall and the other that hit the ceiling and that my thumb had been ripped open....the woman's response was, "just send it back we will fix it." My girlfriend asked for a refund. The woman said she would have to contact the person she bought the gun from and Hung up the phone. No apology, nothing.....

Fast forward to last night. She emails the gentleman that owns Parabellum Sports in northern Va. Explained what happened, left her phone number and asked for a refund. Last night she gets a call, its Greg from Parabellum. He apologizes about a billion times, says she will be refunded het total purchase price and he will discontinue sales of these guns as he wants to not have to sell inferior products.

I'm glad he cares enough to not only refund our money but to stop selling them as well.

Good! I think it's irresponsible to sell dangerous firearms that come apart or explode.

How about the new ruger's? You have lots to choose from in the sub $400 reliable pistol range. The market is more diverse than ever.

Nice to hear the shop is willing to take the steps necessary to keep their customers satisfied. That's a place worth going back to. Too many shops anymore only worry about getting your money and who cares about anything else. Many gun owners will buy more than one as well as things to keep them fed and running properly. So you would think that these people would look down the road like that. But many don't. It sounds like this one wants to see you again. I've spent years building a relationship with a couple shops in my area. It pays off in the long run being I have got some great deals being I spend a good bit of money in them. But it's their desire to make their customers happy that made me want to go in more than once.
