6/17/2014 - XDm 9mm Compact w/ short mags and pinky extension.

Don't know how to insert text between photos, so I'll just make 4 posts. (But I'm willing to learn if someone can explain it!)

First is a mix of slow fire at 10 yards. 14 rounds with both hands, 6 with strong hand only (the left side 7s and 8s are SHO) and 7 weak hand only. These were with my SD ammo that had been in magazine for about a year, so I was replacing it.

I'm very happy with this one. It's far from the one ragged hole that I fantasize about, but mostly black and several in the X.

Second target was 20 rounds of range ammo at 15 yards about 1 per second, which is the range limit (no rapid fire allowed). I'm very happy with this one for two reasons. First, still mostly black. Second, my SD ammo is hitting the same place as my practice ammo.

Third target I'm pretty ashamed of. 10 shots each SHO and WHO at 10 yards maybe 1.5 seconds per shot.

SHO shots are pasted and marked with S. SHO sucked.

WHO was quite a bit better. I'd still like to have none pulled low, but 8 of 10 where they need to be WHO is very good for me.

Sure glad practice doesn't make permanent. Anyone have any useful advice on improving single hand shooting?

Final target was my last 10 rounds. 3 sets of 2 body-1head. Final shot to head doubled on my last head shot. I was pretty happy with these.

Balota took Pengie to the range today. Pengie shot the first 6 rounds of 38 spl out of his S&W 686. It shoots a lot better than it did with that heavy nasty trigger he had in it. Not his fault though, it came that way. But S&W made it right. Thanks S&W service!

Here's my 6. He can show you his if he wants to. (He did OK, but still needs work.)

OK, I admit it. Pengie has me beat with a revolver. Here are 4 attempts by me to match his pattern. Just can't quite keep up. You da bird, Pengie!

Oh, and all targets were at 10 yards, kinda slow fire.
