took out my new to me Savage 25 .223 & put a bunch of rounds through her, i'm happy with the results. it didn't seem to like my 52 gr. handloads too much, oddly enough they shot lower than point of aim compared to the 68 gr. loads I made

oh well, i'm happy & that's all that matters

Your 68 gr handload was hotter than the other, no?

You forgot to mention how close you were to the target

Im alright I guess. This was either 7 or 10 yards.

Note that I was aiming there, NOT center mass.

100 yards. I was pretty sure I had the same weight of powder in both but I loaded those 6 or 8 months ago so I can't be sure anymore. I didn't take a pic of the 52 grain groups because they were not impressive compared to the rest, best I think was almost 2" in a 4 shot group. and they shot from 1.5 to 2.5 inches lower than the heavier bullets.

Oh well, the 68 grain shot tighter anyways so that's probably what i'll stick with from now on. Now if I can just steady myself a bit more next time those should turn into one large ragged hole instead of several small ones

2 5 shot groups I blew today. 3&5 killed the first group (bottom), #5 blew a .230 into a .350 on the top group. I quit for the day. 100 yd, bipod, .22-250, Rem 700.
