77grain sierra matchkings wolf primer 24 grains rl15

300yards open sights top 3 shots were for zero 2 clicks down on the rear sight then the bottom 4. mag went dry on #7 then a cease fire was called. so i took pics when i went downrange

some 300yd groups using 69grn sierra matchking and varget with wolf primers. these groups were shot last fall

i like the 77grn better

here is the rifle how it sits atm. RRA national match A2 upper bcm lower with rra 2 stage trigger. turner sadlery sling.

normally i use the rra A2 rifle lower as seen here but i buggered up the rifle tube trying to unstick my magpul prs stock

Here are a few photos of some targets I shot today. I've only put about 200 rounds through it thus far, but it gets better every time.

Sig P229R in 9mm

3 rounds @ 10 yards with 115 grain AE FMJ

Here is the rest of the magazine. 15 rounds @ 10 yards with 115 grain AE FMJ

And the more I shoot this pistol, the more I love it.

Plum Crazy lower -- $129
DSArms A3 upper 16" barrel, 1:7 twist -- $250
Aimpoint Comp M3 -- $300 (on clearance, "used" floor model)

Total invested into rifle: $675

Ammo: Russian made, steel case TulAmmo standard target ammo

Target: 12" circle

Distance: 350 yards (that's all the distance I can at my parent's, shooting along side the fence to the horse pasture)

Weather: 90 degrees, breezy

Results: 25/30 inside the 12" circle (Dollar placed for size reference, and is covering a few holes)

Rifle is zeroed for 100 yards, I was aiming slightly high to account for bullet drop, rather than trying to adjust sights for distance. No sandbag rests, no bi-pods, shot laying prone.

250 yards standing with a big boy. And four hundred yards prone unsupported with my brother's AR a few years ago.

Yeah, he taped it tail side up COM on the target.

I try and acquire quick but deliberately with my first shot and follow up shots as quick as the range master will allow me (no rapid fire at my range).

Here are some targets from today, my first time shooting my new SIG 1911 .45, same idea.

First photo is my first magazine @ 25 yds. The rest were @ 15 yds. The last photo is a group from 2 magazines, there were a few shots out of the general area but not too bad for the first range day with a new 1911. I love the pistol.
