I'm thinking about naming her "BERTHA" ....she's a heavy girl... over 15 lbs for sure.

I wouldnt want to do much more than shoot from a bench with her.

Anyone selling a M1A bush rifle??

I personally love the M14 fired an oldie from 1960's first time shooting it no one told me it was also full auto scared the living hell out of me. But once it was on semi I loved it, there really nice guns to shoot accurate, the only real thing I didn't like was the weight.

She is a beauty no matter what her weight, but good lord....over 15 pounds??

You would have to work out with her in order to carry her into a fight!

the price was $4500 (with the scope)...
which is a steal considering the receipt for the scope shows $2700 with all the options on it.
The cost to reproduce the rifle would be close to $4500 plus all the time in acquiring all the parts in good condition. Heck the receiver alone is over $1000 plus a 6 month wait.

I was piecing together a build, and trying to figure how I would ever see the finish of this project and who I would have build the thing, when she went up for sale with everything that I was thinking about putting on my build, and WAY better optics that I would have bought at a price I could afford, and NO wait time. He also happened to live 20 miles away from me, everything kinda fell into place! IT WAS FATE! Excuse me while I hit the gym so I can hold this thing!

i guess that price when i 1st saw her yesterday. on the head too. she was worth every penny. would love to own one.

little personal story...
my father was in the marine corps in the late 60's and trained with the m-14 and one qualifying day after he had returned from vietnam he put 14 out of 15 on a 20 inch target at 500m. iron sights. to this day he speaks so high of m-14 and personally indifferent of the m-16.
