Default Sunday's Range Day

Finally got some range time. Was very busy, 2 hours after opening all 50 shooting positions were full.

Took the Blackpowder pistol for some range time. No pictures.

Anyway, got the blackpowder pistol out for shooting practice. After 2 hours, issue developed with the pistol. A percussion cap fell into the trigger assembly. I had to cut range short and go home to disassemble and clean.

I pulled out some "Dust Off" (Air in the can), fired a nice blast up from the trigger assembly and nice chuck of percussion cap is on the towel.

Next on the tools to the range "Dust Off".

One of the most common foul ups of the old black powder pistols was cap failure of one kind or another. Imagine the old timers when there life depended on it

That is why they carried big knives.
