I couldn't agree more. The road I live on is dirt and when I moved out here there was grass growing in the middle of the road and other house on the road. Nearest neighbor was 3/4 mile away. Now there are 3 other houses out here and nearest one is bout 1/4 mile away. I've been told they are going to pave the road in the next 3 or 4 months. Bummer. I have 46 acres so no one can get eye sight close.

Awesome loved the grand kid comment, my uncle lived in West Point, Georgia told our kids the red rocks were worth a lot of money. Dad's truck had over 100 pounds in the bed when he got back home. Georgia clay is not worth much in Mississippi either!

Your range is looking great so far. I'm pretty jealous. Although I do plan on buying enough land to build my own range when I buy my house.

I may use some of your ideas in my range. If you don't mind (doubt you will). Oh no, copyright infringement!

My wife wants to get a house with land on it, so we can have farm animals, this makes me want to do it too, so I can build my own range. That is very cool!

I know I have a lot more rocks and sticks to pick up but its supposed to rain this weekend after a couple weeks of dry so I wanted to get the grass seeds out before the rain. I spread 50 lbs of Ketucky 31 fescue that was a couple of years old. It might not sprout but I needed to get rid of it anyway. Then I put 120 pounds of The Rebels fescue on the range and my expanded front yard. Hope we get the rain this weekend and then often enough to keep the range grass alive. The first two pics are the yard to be and the last is the range to be.

Ok I put the grass seeds out Friday 20th and got rain that Saturday and more the following Tuesday and Wednesday. So its been 10 days and looks like I got pretty good coverage. I just hope we get enough rain to keep it going. It looks like the next rain chance is a week from today so all I can do is watch and wait. Yeah watching grass grow. At least you can see the rocks better now.

String , That looks great , The wife and I would love to move to the Southern Tenn or Georgia area. Unfortunately were currently stuck here because the housing market sucks around us and we have our house and local rental property . However we have both for sale so were hoping for the best
