Great looking groups and great looking gun! My next semi-auto is probably going to be a Sig.

7 and 10 yards are good distances for a self defense pistol. Once you master those distances you can move your targets further away, but the fundamental practice for most SD shooting is still short distance.

Nice grouping. Sig makes a great gun. I bought a 229 Elite Dark with the SRT, and boy will that sweetheart run! At 10 yards, a full mag only takes 1 piece of tape to cover the holes ) Enjoy, you have a great looking as well as shooting firearm.

I'm thinking about a 22 conversion for the 229, anyone have any experience with one?

I bought the 22 conversion for the 229. Got the threaded barrel for my future suppressor purchase. After a couple of mags, it runs great. Had a few FTFs in the beginning.

Very nice. I love a Sig and the 228 and 229 are excellent weapons. Those look like very good targets and you seem happy.

Excellent addition to the arsenal.

Very nice gun and good groupings. Just continue to work on keeping your fundamentals together. As you get better with time you will feel more comfortable and notice that groups like that become no problem at 15 yards and further...as you get better at keeping them together at longer ranges you can really start putting groups like that together fast up close at practical self-defense distances.
