Shooting steel

My first time shooting steel at The Cove. How satisfying! Not sure an indoor range will ever feel the same after this. Hitting the 105 meter plate with a 1oz slug or a hot 44 out of my 629.

Wish I lived more rural so I could set something up at home.Id be shooting every day :-)

Ammo permitting, of course.

Sounds like a good time. I prefer steel as well. When I buy my house, definitely gonna try to get a bit of land to setup a range.

We shoot at manhole covers at 800 yards with .50 BMG API. Save your money, buy land.

Even when ammo is cheap sooner or later you will end up shooting 22 LR bulk. You can only shoot up a grand a week for so long before the wife says "enough!"

nothin' quite like that "ding" when you make a hit.

I love hitting the steel at 200 yards with my .45-70. That sucker makes the target DANCE.

Lately I've been shooting steel with my M1A. It's crazy. You can hear the ring from 800 yards and 1000 yards. At those ranges you can get back on target before the bullet even hits.

At 800 yards its a full 3 seconds between the shot and when you hear the hit.
