Ruger LCR
1 Attachment(s)
I picked up this used LCR for an on-duty back up gun. I took it out and put 100rds of Winchester white box FMJ, 50rds of Remington UMC FMJ, 50rds of Winchester white box JHP +P and 5rds of Winchester PDX1 JHP +P through it. The group pictured is 15rds of the white box +P off hand from 10 yards. The gun ran without a hick-up. The HKS 36-A speed loaders worked, but are a little tighter than I'd like due to the grip size. The only modification I made was some of my wife's orange fingernail polish on the front sight. It'll have to do until my XS night sight comes in. I've also got the boot grip coming(should help concealment and speed loader fit). The gun is being carried loaded with PDX1s in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster until I qualify with it,at which time it will be carried in a Bianchi Triad ankle holster.

I still love mine, too. :)

EXCELLENT shooting! It looks like you're dialed in. I've been wanting to get the .357 version for awhile now.

I qualified with the LCR today for on-duty backup. 30 round course(8 at 15, 12 at 7 and 10 at 3.) 3 yard shots were one hand only, 5 strong hand and 5 support hand. The group in the forehead was fired support hand only. A few co-workers qualified with their J-frames and were complaining about pain after the first 8 shots. They didn't believe me when I said I shoot 200+ rounds each range trip. The trigger gets sweeter every time out.

I would own an LCR right now if I could hide it in the front pocket of my pants....but I can't.
Great shooting guys. |
Got the chance to shoot an LCR last week and i must say they are nice fun little revolvers:) Good shooting:cool:

Great shooting!
On my S&Ws I chop the top off the left side grip to allow more clearance for speed loaders. But for your BUG, you may want to get some Bianchi Speed Strips. |
