My range results today with my new custom .308 SPS :
First the upgrades:
B&C A2 stock
AZ Precision custom bolt knob
EGW 0 MOA rail
Wyatt detachable bottom metal
Old style Remington trigger group
Warne rings (med)
WoTac (wonder optics) 4X14X50 SFP optic (1/4 MOA)
After boresight, I tracked the box counting the clicks (1/4 MOA) back to zero. The scope tracked perfectly.
Set the ocular focus until reticle was clear and sharp
Set the magnification to 9X (calibrated setting for MOA ranging) and dialed the side focus until the target was clear and sharp
Ammo: Fed Gold Medal match 168 gr
Shooting from bench off bipod
Temp = 90 degrees
Wind = 0
First round was high on the bull @ 100 yds. I dialed the reticle from POI into the bull/ Second shot was in the bull, slightly right. Dialed the windage and the third shot was perfect.
Switched targets, loaded 5 in the magazine, results:
The scope performed extremely well for the price. Matt Wonders is a great guy and offers a lifetme no BS warranty.
Overall, I am more than pleased with my budget precision rifle build. I am particularly pleased with the WoTac scope. A lot of scope for the money.
