Default Ranger Report - Ruger SR22

The wind did not stop me from range time with the new Ruger SR22. I did bring along the S&W MP 15-22. The wind was blowing from NNW between 10 to 20 mph. Ruger SR22 will be joining the MP 15-22 everytime at the range, another addicting rifle!

No pics posted of the Bushmaster, that was the first to be fired using the iron sights only. Need to get a front sight tool and a red dot or old style colt scope for the handle. Mostly, fired about 120 PMC .223 rounds - very dirty rounds!

Pics of the .22LR rifles, S&W MP 15-22 on the left and the Ruger SR22 on the right:

The initial scope setup using Leapers I have was complete after 4 shots at 25 yards using standard Blazer CCI .22LR rounds:

Target at 50 yards with the Ruger SR22, fired about 50 rounds and then fired the S&W MP 15-22:

Well done. I remember the wind in ABQ howling this time of year!

Good deal BC.

So which do you like better the MP or the SR22?

Nice shooting, even with the wind.

Nicely done! Any day is a good day when you can let some lead fly down range.

That is very very hard decision! MP is first and SR22 second; but, they will get equal time at the range!

Scary thing, I just left the range after a few hours, around 12:15 p.m. and tonight, local news is saying a 38 year old accidentially shot himself in the leg at the same range this afternoon.
