The last time i went shooting at my in-laws cabin we were shooting maniquien heads, cantelopes, and old shootgun shells. And i usually bring caps from random containers. Like milk jugs and pop bottles to sight in my old .22lr. But its private property and i dont have to worry about making a mess because we dont have to worry about random people stopping by and we always pick up before we leave. And i have to say shooting at fruit with my new mossberg500 is one of the best targets for the money and like posted before there is no clean up. The birds and other animals will clean that up in no time. If im shooting my .22lr i bring a bag of grapes or something a little bigger for accuracy shots.

So, my big plan this year failed. I haven't seen any political yard signs anywhere!!

California is so Democrat that nobody even campaigns. I guess if you're in the swing states you get commercials and yard sign galore, but in the extreme states you get zip.

I use the 3/4" round yard sale price stickers on reject copy paper. The stickers are cheap, around a dollar or so per pack and several hundred come in a pack at any walmart or hardware store, and they are in all different colors. I make three rows of three and with six pages on a piece of cardboard at the range, I never have to go down range to check or change targets in a morning of range shooting. I have room on the targets to write info, such as load data and I can keep the targets in a file folder for future reference.
That top picture is the unique butt end of one of my favorite rifles that posted on here by mistake. Don't know how to remove it so ignore it or enjoy it. BTW, that rifle shot the group in the bottom picture on the yard sale stickers I was talking about.

When I have somebody completely new to guns out to shoot, I always try to stop at the local grocery and ask if they have any old or unsaleable fruit or veggies that I can have.

It really drives home the gun safety lessons when they see an old head of cabbage or lettuce, cantaloup, watermelon, etc. explode when shot ,and the local deer are happy to do the cleanup.

I'd suggest a photo of Rosie O'Donnell except the thought of actually printing one out and touching it is kind of repulsive.

Dang, I just realized what I can use my 250 Obama joker print outs for. Two guys got thrown in jail a coulple of years ago for handing them out so I quit while I was ahead.

i make my targets out of poster board. ranges in price from .25 to .50 cents each. i buy them in the brighter colors and use a majic marker to make target circles on them. i very seldom buy targets anymore.

one reactive target i like, is 2 liter soda bottles filled with water, hanging up.

I shoot just about anything I can find that wont hurt nothing to be filled w holes. Mainly though I shoot cans amd pizza boxes. Or animal pics out of old magazines or calendars.

When I shoot at the holes in slices of Swiss cheese, I get a perfect score every time!
When I shoot at the paper plates and index cards I get at the dollar store, the ones I put a small round colored sticker in the center on, not so much.

I'm thinking maybe it's because the paper plates and cards are real cheap.
