I got to shoot the Gold Cup today. I did and head to head with my Kimber TLE II.
Impressions: I always hated that my Kimber "seemed" more accurate than my Colt Combat Elite. Well, the Kimber is not as accurate as this Gold Cup. I love this thing! Also for some reason the felt recoil is lower with the Gold Cup than the Kimber and not just a little either. The felt recoil felt significantly heaver with the Kimber. I think the Gold Cup's spring might be heavier than 16 lbs. I fired 300 Magtech 230 grain FMJ in the Gold Cup and about 150 of the same in the Kimber. I also fired 3 magazines of Hornady TAP+P 230 grain XTP in each gun.
Nothing jammed.
Also the Gold Cup seemed faster to fire two and three round bursts. I think the reduced recoil was the factor. Super happy with this gun!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so no videos.
but I brought targets home.
