Newest range report for Sig Sauer P226
 

I'm going to try for my company's Corporate Challenge shooting team next year so I went out today to start practicing using the B27 target. I ran about 200 rounds through my .40 cal at all three distances, 7, 10 and 15 yards (21, 30 and 45 feet). Here are my results at 45 feet (15 yards). The 7 and 10 yard targets are similar except the groupings are a lot more in the 9, 10 and X rings with one or two scattered at the 8 ring.

I'm also going to give my new Walther PPS .40 S&W cal (bought today after shooting at the range) a tryout as well. It's shorter and lighter so I'm not sure how well I'll do with it.

Nice! Definately a marked improvement from first to sixth. How do you like the Sig?

I'm hoping to get more practice in now that I bought a Buckmark 22.

It's not that I'm a cheap skate...ok yeah I am.:o

I definitely noticed that. I need to be doing the sixth target (and better) hits when I first start so I'm going to continue to practice. Our Corporate Challenge team came in second for the silver this year. I had sprained my wrist in a stupid bathtub accident so I didn't try out this year.

Basically, I liked the Sig from the getgo. When I bought it, I looked at Sigs and Glocks but the Sig just "felt better" in my hand. After using it for a while, my "felt better" feeling seems to be upheld.
