Default My New XD-9 and Taurus 85UL .38 Special at the Range

Just got back from the range and have to say that I absolutely love my new XD. Shoots better than I'm capable of. My stepson proved that

I also had a chance to try out my Taurus 85UL .38 special. Pretty interesting. Nice small revolver. I'll need to put a few more rounds through it to get a better handle on the way it shoots.

Here's my Springfield XD-9 range results at 10 yards

My .38 special at 5 yards.

I got a lot of work to do on my marksmanship right now.

You'll have fun improving those groups on the xd, which you most certainly will do. But, that is more than center mass at 30ft, very well done.

It was steady fire. My stepson has taken to shooting like a duck to water. I only wish he spent more time with me and his mom. He's leaving this weekend and probably won't be done for a few months again. His dad isn't into guns at all. In fact, after meeting my wife, he was terrified of me because I owned a few back then. I had never even threatened the guy. Not my style. LOL
