You really didn't need the grill. Just put the steaks on the bayonet

Prices have gotten insane. I just checked Amazon, and they wanted $104.00 for one. Mine was a gift from my older son a few years ago. He was working at a Walmart, and they had one on the shelves they couldn't sell. When the price hit rock bottom he bought it, and gave it to me for Christmas. With his employee's discount, I think it cost him about eight bucks.

It's a very simple design, and a very good one; basically it's an upgraded hibachi.

I have the same grill and also really like it. Also, with just removing two screws, it disassembles for easy cleaning. Being as it is cast iron, you want to care for it just like any cast iron cookware.

After using mine a couple of times, I usually disassemble it, clean all pieces with hot water and light scrubbing, light coat of coking oil, and then back the pieces in the oven for a while. Re-assemble and good as new for next time.

A great cooker it is...

Wish I had gotten mine for 8 buck...I bought mine at Bass Pro Shops and it was $89.

Regards,

Swampbilly
