That elderly gentleman went completely out of his comfort zone to walk into the range and rent the gun. Like many, he was expecting instruction from the range officer and was ignored. I agree, Greg. 100%. This was an opportunity lost. I would absolutely have helped out the elder gentleman even though it isn't my job and I came to the range to shoot.
OP, maybe if you're in a situation like that again, you might be able to gain an honest supporter of our cause.
