Default Great Way To End the Work Week

Did my typical Friday afternoon therapy.

Went to Alpine Shooting Range and put 400+ rounds of .22LR down range from my Ruger Mark III. Shot well from 50'.

An absolute beautiful day in North Texas made better by the sounds of shooting and the smell of cordite.

Then I went home and took a nap.

Some times it's not so bad being an old fart!

Sounds like a wonderful day. I have to go shooting soon. I have a great time shooting my Mark II. She is a 'fun gun'.

im still at the shop now and have to be here tomorrow at 5am,no nap for meim glad somones having fun though

My range time comes every Saturday morning, range opens at 10 AM. I reload on Sunday mornings.

Got to Alpine south of Ft. Worth about noon. Already 90 degrees. Looks like another long, hot summer in North Texas.

A nice father / grown daughter pair on next lane. They were having a lot of fun shooting together. Did my heart good seeing that. He was shooting a FN 5.7. Went thru $80 of ammo in a half hour. 3 cents a shell from my Mark III - AMEN!

Shot about 400 rounds from my Mark III? About 1500 rounds since last good cleaning. Tomorrow I break out my brass punch and plastic faced hammer and go at it.

When I get a bit of extra money, I'll put in a custom trigger assembly. The stock Ruger are OK but the pull seems to vary during a two hour shoot. Probably powder build up from those nasty .22's. Ether that or I have dementia in my muscle memory. LOL.

Shooting - gotta love it!
