Good Day at the Range
I finally drag myself to the range. Took the Glock 19, S&W M&P 15-22 and the Bushmaster.
Cool, slight wind and small amount of shooters!
The M&P 15-22 was first up to play. Did shoot about 100 rounds, the Nikon Prostaff Scope was an issue of sighting in at short range , I drove me nuts - I adjusted up and down and left and right, nothing! Then the 15-22extractor comes out (all three pieces) . Damn, Remington Target 22LR ammo had a play in it (mabybe). Just to be on the safe side the rifle is heading back to S&W for a warranty makeover and upgrade!
I did re-install the extactor after cleaning! Smith & Wesson Forum has 4 pages on this issue.
The Bushmaster had a new scope Leapers 5th Gen 6X32 Scope, after some 10 rounds short and 10 rounds long, sighted in with no issues!
Glock 19 was enjoying the play time. It did not like the American Eagle ammo that I took to the range.
Saturday, take that Nikon and mount onto my other rifle for test and evaluation. I does not work, I am calling Nikon for RMA!
Dang, Big, some days are better than others. Any day at the range is better than a good day at work. :D
I am required to ask, Where are the pics?? ;)
Sounds like a good day, no matter what. Not crowded and slight wind sounds okay to me.
But, like Skull said:
Be sure to post how that 22 turns out. I can handle a gun having a hiccup..... but if the manufacturer doesn't fix it, it's officially a problem!!
I did some digging on the S&W forums, alot of pages on the M&P 15-22.
I brokedown the bolt and the extractor (three small pieces) loose one and your screwed, anyway. Re-assembled the extractor and will attempt to do range check Saturday - based on honey-do book!
Now on PICS will take camera to the range! I am going sign-up with photobucket!
Pardon the nosey AR clips, they always want into the picture! :D
