Gong shape? Where to buy them?
 

I am going to purchase an ar500 steel gong soon but cannot decide what shape. Would there be any sound difference in a round or square shape? I am thinking no but I would still like some input from someone. If you know a place that has them for a decent price I would like to know that as well. Thanks.

Don't know about the shape or sound but I can tell you that if you go to any large fabrication shop they might have ar plate laying around. When I worked for a fab shop we would build stuff and always keep our drops and I have built some sillioutes out of those pieces before. Might save you some money by going that route.

Sometimes Dick's sells some pretty good steel targets...
