Default Goju's Range day

Up until the eye incident I was having a good time. Matt and I were blasting our improvised targets we brought along to warm up.

Here's the aftermath.

Pumpkins taste bad anyway.

We also set up a 1911 comp. My Kimber vs. His Rock Island Officer. This is my PVC target stand, works great.

Here are the results of that.

In Matt's and his RIA's defese, he had too much coffee and was pretty tired from 3rd shift work. The RIA shoos great and is very accurate.

I also did some wet newspaper ballistic testing.

Once again, all performed well. I'm especially fond of the ranger's and the Gold dots come in 2nd. I need to get some for the .40

Thanks all.

Great report Goju and really good shooting. It would appear that 1911 is becoming an extension of your own arm.

Those Rangers look nasty. I think more than half the problem with those would be if you had to try and take one out, especially in a battlefield situation. Those edges would just make a slaughterhouse of anything fleshy they came in contact with while moving.

Nasty indeed.

Thanks for the report.

Great shooting, good report, those Rangers do look particularly nasty!

Great report Goju! Those Rangers look good but I'm still sticking with my HSTs for the time being. I'm hoping to get a little range time in this weekend myself but we'll see.
