I finally had a chance to take the wife out to shoot her new Glock 42,, as Merc stated, the recoil was surprisingly light and it was easy to control for her. It prints about 3" low with the Fiocchi fodder we were using. I have not tried the defensive rounds we have , merely a fam fire session, getting her used to the weapon. She went through about 80 rounds and I was pleased that she shot most very well at defensive distances,, 5 to 10 yards,, she tends to unlock after shooting a few strings so she has spells of inconsistency until I let her know, but overall she did well. I fired a couple of magazines through it and found it to be a nice shooter and the trigger was pretty decent for a Glock, I prefer my 1911's but it's a very good pistol in my opinion and I am not a big Glock fan,, I was impressed.
