getting range officer training

I will be getting range officer training sometime next month, in conjunction with volunteer hours at the local gun club. I am very excited about this and can't wait to find out how little I know (and open to learning a bunch of stuff). The club has 25, 50, 100, 200, competition, handgun and clay shooting. About a year and a half list to get in, $85 buck a year plus volunteer time. Like I said I'm pumped

From one RO to a soon to be RO, Congrats!
You will have a lot of fun as an RO and more important keeping people save!

Do it and get registered w/ the NRA.

Some gunmakers (Ruger for one) used to have an occasional 'special' deal for registered instructors, rso etc.

I'm a certified RSO where do you get info on these deals?

When you become an NRA trained and Certified Inst. they contact you. S&W, Colt Kimber etc. offer special purchases to NRA Certified Insts. Coaches ROs etc. The NRA has programs for their Member officers. :)
