If you think thats hot wait till you see it with midwest industries new scar rail extension!! they will have one for me when i get back from tejas. One of the first off the line. It extends the rail out past the front sight giving a longer space to grip the rifle without touching the gasblock or barrel.

The temp wasnt anything official just what the truck's sensor was telling me at the time. I had no reason to suspect it was lying since it was built before gm became government motors

Thesuppressor did shift poi by about 4 inches kinda disapointed in that as there is no appreciable shift with the wife's savage. Must be something to do with the surefire brake vs flashhider

There are 3 types of people in the world.

1. Those that hate guns

2. Those that have SCARs

3. Those that want SCARs

I am in category #3

Really, REALLY nice rifle---I wish I had the funds to go after one---soooooo, I guess I'll just shoot my old FAL (model 50.00 "308 Match") that I've had for 25-30 years...

I'm also in category 3, but at $2500 it's a bit on the expensive side

The main reason I never got a SCAR 17 is because of the lousy trigger ( same complaint you had with the SCAR 17 trigger) on my SCAR 16S. You would think that for a $3000 rifle FN would put in decent trigger an not have to have the end user put another $200 into a decent trigger. I went with the LMT MWS and a SIG 716. Both had crisp but heavy trigger which was cured with the JP Reduced trigger spring kit Brownells sells for $9.95. Using only the trigger spring. Both rifles now have a 3.5 LB trigger pull and shoot 1 MOA 5 shot groups @ 100 yards( sometime much better) with my hand loads or 168 grain FGMM

I noticed that the 16 has a hard heavy trigger, you would think FNH would have gave them a good trigger.

they are designed for field use not target shooting even though they are exceptionally accurate. when your going to war you want a heavy long trigger pull so you dont accidently shoot your buddies or yourself or your own gear.

thats why the trigger sucks on the scars and on the m16 series rifles.

my stock scar17 trigger is exactly the same as my BCM lower's trigger pull. long and heavy
