Congrats. I love my 1943 Springfield. I will tell you one thing, the Garand folks are a nice bunch. I recently got an AR, looking for tid bits of advice etc. The only experience I have with the platform is military. I wanted something a little different.
After getting my pants yanked down around my ankles over this anal retentive AR world, I wish I hadn't bought it or at least would have stayed with a standard A2.
Think I'll go shoot my Garand

That's awesome! I'd love to have one, but it'll be a while. In the mean time I'll have to get my fulfillment out of watching other shooters and reading range reports such as yours!

Great shooting and good luck at the match!

only 9.5 pounds of bear slaying awesomeness. bout the same as a railed m4. less than a m1a, it points much easier than my springfield m1a.
