Default First Trip With Mosin Nagant

My father and I spent the afternoon at the range and of course one of the firearms I brought was my new Mosin.

The winger in the bottom right was just a function test with my face no where close to the receiver - just lined up the shot, turned away, and fired. The row was from fighting a left to right cross wind and figuring out it shoots high. The two in the center was with a six o clock hold. I'm very impressed with this rifle and I can tell its more accurate than its owner.

Mosins are great fun. What was the distance you were shooting?

Mosin's are fun to shoot. Is that an M38?

Not bad for a 70 year old rifle that's been sitting in cosmoline for who knows how long and iron sights that didn't need any adjustment out of the box.
