First time shooting my SW9VE

I took it to the range today and put 150 rounds through it with no misfires. I shot a box of Federal 115 gr. FMJ, a box of Remington UMC 115 gr. FMJ, and a box of Remington UMC 115 gr JHP. The Remington FMJs had the least kick by far of any of the rounds.

The gun feels great in the hand and the trigger was not as awkward as I have heard others describe. I shot at 10 yards. There was some nice grouping. I will try to post some pics later. Overall, I am very pleased with my $289 purchase!

Got to love the Sigma, It will work flawlessly. The trigger is just a little stiff, but if you are used to shooting DA, you should have no problems. You got yourself a fine Pistol. You got a pistol a whole lot better than a Glock at half the price, who can argue/
I require Sigma PrOn.

Glad to hear it went so well! I main problem with that gun is the trigger for sure. It is very long and you can never quite tell when she is about to blow.

I agree Sigma PR0N is needed now!

Here are the embarrasing pics. Looks like frequent trips to the range are in order.

Most of those are good shots. Just keep practicing.

With the exception of the 1911's I've owned over the years, it always takes me at least two or more range trips to feel I have a handgun "dialed". Then it takes more trips and hundreds of rounds to be sure of reliability.

Now let me understand this, the title of this thread is "First time shooting my SW9VE" and you are disappointed in your hit count?

Buck up Skippy, I tell all my noobies when they start, just put them in the coke bottle.

A quick cane scoring gets you close to 80% in the bottle!

A high batting average is .400 (which hasn't been accomplished since the '40s) and you are double that!

Smile Skippy, and be proud of that "First time shooting my SW9VE" outing!

Does anyone know of an after market threaded barrel for the S&W Sigma 40VE?
