My buddy came down for a few days of vacation and a day of shooting. We took my mom, dad, sister and wife with us to a place in the woods my wife's family shoots at. My mom and sister have never shot before so both of them were pretty excited and a tad nervous.
Between me and my buddy, we had a Marlin .22 Magnum, Marlin Model 60 .22LR, Winchester Ranger 30-30, 20 gauge single shot shotgun (can't remember the make), Smith & Wesson M&P 9, and a replica Army black powder revolver.
Since we were out in the woods, we took a bunch of milk jugs, water bottles, and phone books in addition to paper targets and skeet.
Shooting the jugs of water was really entertaining, especially with the 30-30. My mom and sister both had a blast! My sister grew very fond of my 9mm and I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up buying one in the near future. None of us had much luck with the skeet. The black powder was a ton of fun, though I'm glad it wasn't mine and I didn't have to clean it! What a chore!
Overall, it was a great day of shooting, even if the temps hit record highs! My mom and sister took lots of pictures. I'll get some up once they put them up.
