On thursday my dad, brother, and I went shooting my Izhevsk (sorry if I spelled that wrong) 91/30 made in 1943. It was mostly a function test but dang was it fun. It kicked harder than I thought, any recoil reducing accessories I can get? It was a good trip and my family and I all enjoyed it.

Limbsaver butt pads work well, or so I'm told, no shame in using one.

Heck of a lot softer than steel. Nice rifle btw.

Thanks; I really like it.
Would the small size slip on limb saver fit the butt?

Either the small or medium

Cool. They can be fun. Shooting from a bench dies let you appreciate he much they do kick though.

What type of ammo did you try? How was the accuracy?

The small is too tight, the medium works fine.

There's a few online vendors who offer a M/N recoil pad for @

9 $.

I used MFS 174 gr FMJ; it was the cheapest I could find locally. This was more of a function test so none of us were going for accuracy.

Is it a recoil pad or stock extender? I have found some cheap stock extenders but would rather have a quality recoil absorption system.
