I recently (two months ago) bought a Hatsan Arms Escort Fieldhunter. It was a relatively inexpensive shotgun, but it looked and felt nice in my hands so I decided to buy it. And seeing as I've already put about 500 shells through it, I think its about time to write a paragraph or two on it.
First of all I'll show some specs-
Barrel Length: 28 in
Overall length: 48 in
Safety: Manual cross button
Stock and fore-end: Polymer
Gauge: 12 guage
Available chokes: F, IM, M, IC, CYL
Magazine Capacity: 4+1
And now for the review.
First thing I did when I brought it home was field strip it which was very easy to do. On all the pumps I've used I've always noticed rattle in the forestock but it was hardly noticeable in the Escort. After I put it back together I tested out its functions, and everything was as smooth as silk. The day after I brought it home I took it to a shotgun range I've visited since I moved to So Cal and did some skeet shooting with it. It's very light weight (only 3kg) so its got a fast swing and is an easy carry. I'm very satisfied and I recommend it for anyone who'd like a nice inexpensive shotgun.
