Default Daughter's First Pistol Target

Took my 14 year old daughter out to shoot handguns for the first time today. She doesn't shoot much but seems to like it when we go. I brought my Colt 1911 .22, 686 and my SA 1911. She shot some steel with the .22 and then wanted to try out the 686 with some .38 Special handloads. She ran through a couple cylinders on the steel at 10 yards. The I moved her to the 7 yard line and had her shoot a 8" bull. Here are the first six shots she has ever shot on paper with a pistol.

Here's the steel setup that I made over the last couple days. Might need to cut down the steel plates. Way too easy to hit at 10 yards.

Oh I dont know. I have never tried to shoot while standing on my head. I bet it is dificult enough.

Nice trick shooting..on your head and all.

You're right though. Those big things should be pretty easy at 25yds and beyond..Not sure about the standing on the head thing though. That might make it a bit harder.

Every time I take pic on the Ipad when I upload it they come out upside down. Even if I put them in photobucket they look right and then flip on here. Maybe someone can explain what I'm doing wrong.

Just paint a red dot in the center. A bigger target helps you know how to correct. If you miss it, you probably won't know what you did or how to correct it.

If I had a daughter I'd want her to be an expert gunhandler and shooter, especially before I allowed her to date.
