No one as stated the obvious. Try some different loads.

Try a peep sight first brother, then follow it up with a fiber optic if needed. ....

My best man has diabetes now (later in life) He describes something similar to your "fuzzy area" his is a "lighted white spot" sorta like looking through a screen door with "holes" in the screen. That lets in diffused light.

He found that a rear peep solved his issues for iron sights.

Peeps are fine unless you are far sighted like I am. I can shot them if I must (as I did in the military) but I do not shoot them as good as I do plain old open sights.

Yeah, Jim, I'm not gonna shoot right hand/left eye. I've learned a few things in 50 years and that's one of em. Differnent loads is a good idea.

Whenever I hear of people doing it I always wonder too. But I've hears people saying that do it enough to believe it actually happens. I'm assuming they aren't aiming properly.

If you have not tried the LeverRevolution ammo you may want to try it. I shoot it, as does my son, in our 30-30's and it is very accurate.
I have 1.5x5 Leopold VeriX III on my 336.

Never shot one that young but the last one I shot was at 5 yards. Still would not have been able to draw a dot on it.

Shot again today. Here's my youngest getting his first taste of 30-30.

A bit disappointing - Range Report

We used the Hornady LeverRevolution at 100yds. The following is my target but my son's shooting was almost identical to mine. The rifle is shooting consistently left so I guess it's not just my eye after all.

A bit disappointing - Range Report

I did order some TruGlow Ghost Glow paint for the front sight bead. And sight adjustments are in order. We'll see if that helps.

I will be constructing a house shortly and such a shooting range will be part of the build...nice range!
